Today’s Black in the Day Fact

On February 3, 1870 African American men were granted their right to vote by the  
ratification of the 15th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

On August 18, 1920 women from all walks of life completed their fight for the right to vote when the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution was ratified.

On Tuesday, November 6, 2012 Barack Obama was re-elected for his second term as the President of the United States of America. He is the first black president to win re-election.
