Did you know that Son of Ingali (1940) is considered to be the first all-black horror film? The movie, which was written by Amos ‘N Andy star Spencer Williams and directed by Richard Kahn was about an African monster named N’Gina (Zach Williams) who mysteriously lives in a newlywed couple’s basement. It isn’t until they start noticing that their food is missing that they realize they’re in for a big surprise.
